Misty Island

Misty Island is an indie rock band based out of South Florida. Founded by keyboardist, songwriter & producer Brandon Davis, Misty Island is a band that known for creating atmospheric experimental rock. The sound of Misty Island has transformed from album to album, and in some cases, from track to track, all anchored by Brandon's cerebral lyricism. From psychedelia to electronic, symphonic to avant-garde, or folk to funk, no two Misty Island songs sound the same. 

Brandon started Misty Island as a studio-based project in 2021, by recording & producing a series of tracks in his bedroom studio. The 14-track debut album, Illustrations, was released on September 16th, 2022. The sound of Illustrations utilized a distinctive juxtaposition of dark introspective lyricism with kaleidoscopic psychedelic musicality, achieved through combinations of spacey synthesizers, backwards guitars, and baroque-style string arrangements. 

Following the first release, Brandon promptly retreated to his studio to record Misty Island's second album, Apocalypse in Living Color, on August 3rd, 2024. The album yielded the single "Requiem for the Fallen Angel," which quickly became one of the band's most popular songs. Apocalypse in Living Color marked a departure from the first album's tone, favoring more aggressive guitars and gothic arrangements.
