Misty Island

Misty Island is an indie rock band based out of South Florida. Founded by keyboardist, songwriter & producer Brandon Davis, Misty Island is a band that known for creating atmospheric experimental rock. The sound of Misty Island has transformed from album to album, and in some cases, from track to track, all anchored by Brandon's cerebral lyricism. From psychedelia to electronic, symphonic to avant-garde, or folk to funk, no two Misty Island songs sound the same. 

Brandon started Misty Island as a studio-based project in 2021, by recording & producing a series of tracks in his bedroom studio. The 14-track debut album, Illustrations, was released in September of 2022. The album's lyrics are filled with introspective self-analysis, while the music maintains a dreamy, kaleidoscopic psychedelic atmosphere through its use of spacey synthesizers and baroque-style string arrangements. 

Misty Island released their second album, Apocalypse in Living Color, in August of 2024. The 12-track sophomore release was a departure from the first album's tone, evoking a darker and more gothic sound design than its predecessor. While embarking on a bold new direction, Apocalypse in Living Color maintains the same lyrical depth and dense atmospheric layers that the band was known for, shaping their existing psychedelic sound into something more distinctive.
